This introductory course combines live tele-classes with self-paced prerecorded lectures, partner coaching practice, and a 135 page workbook.

You are interested in helping others grow and achieve their goals. You want the skills and interventions that will help your clients achieve success through insight and positive interventions. Whether you are interested in creating a hybrid coach/therapy practice, or starting from scratch, this 16-week course (10 week for the Intensive) will prepare you with the foundational skills, knowledge, and resources to help you become a positive psychology coach.

Cost: $1500 US dollars OR for a limited time

Portland Oregon Applied Positive Psychology Workshop

This in-person training will take place this summer in beautiful Portland Oregon.

This training is ideal for managers, mentors, coaches, counselors, therapists or anyone else who is invested in helping others grow. Our Applied Positive Psychology course will give you innovative interventions that are based in positive psychology research. It will help you increase curiosity in your managers, spot and develop strengths in your clients, increase satisfaction in your relationships and help others do the same. As well as boost courage in your team members, learn how to develop a positive narrative, using improv to create ideas and energize your clients or team, and the science of happiness at work.

Certificates given: If you are already a coach, you will receive a certificate of “Positive Psychology Coach.” Others will receive a certificate of completion is “Positive Psychology Interventions”

You have experience working with others. You are a manager, a mentor, a coach, a counselor, a therapist. You want to take your practice/work to the next level. Our Applied Positive Psychology course will give you innovative interventions that are based in positive psychology research. Increase curiosity in your managers, spot and develop strengths in your clients, increase satisfaction in your relationships and help others do the same. As well as boost courage in your team members, learn how to develop a positive narrative, using improv to create ideas and energize your clients or team, and the science of happiness at work. This 12 week telecourse will give you the latest in positive psychology interventions and the opportunity to practice these interventions with others.

Having coaching competence is not enough to succeed; you also need some business savvy and the ability to strategically build a professional practice. There is no shortage of basic information on how to grow a practice—give away free first sessions, start a newsletter, print business cards. In this interactive class we will veer from these standard coaching practices and learn fresh skills.

4 week interactive class

Stories are important devices for organizational communication, building interpersonal intimacy, and creating meaning in life. In this highly experiential workshop participants will learn tools related to this powerful communication style. We will use personal anecdotes, news stories, YouTube clips and comic books to better understand the ways that stories can inspire, persuade and bond. Each participant will leave this workshop with a better ability to see stories in everyday events and to use this to their own professional advantage. This workshop is appropriate for trainers, teachers, managers and anyone who wants to affect others through narrative.
